Carl Hayden Smith is a Professor of Media, Director at Noonautics, and Founder of the Museum of Consciousness, with a career dedicated to exploring how technology can expand human potential. As co-founder of the Cyberdelics Nexus, his research focuses on Hyperhumanism—reframing technology as a tool to enhance innate human abilities—and Context Engineering, which designs optimal environments for psychedelic research. A longtime participant in Imperial College London’s N,N-DMT studies, Carl was the first person to sustain five full doses of DMTx in the pilot program. With over £10 million raised in research funding, 50+ academic papers, and 300 lectures across 40 countries, his work spans holotechnica, embodied cognition, sensory augmentation, and the evolving relationship between consciousness and technology.
