Dr. Gaylord Wardell is a retired anesthesiologist and pain specialist with decades of clinical experience in acute and chronic pain management, including extensive use of ketamine in the treatment of refractory pain syndromes. His work has focused on complex pain conditions, opioid stewardship, and the neurobiology of suffering, providing him with a nuanced understanding of both the physiological and psychological dimensions of pain. At Eleusis, Dr. Wardell brings this expertise to the development of next-generation psychedelic therapies, including DMTx, with an emphasis on their potential to address intractable pain and related neuropsychiatric conditions.
