Dr. Jack Allocca
Research Advisor
Dr. Jack Allocca is a neuroscientist, neuropharmacologist, and AI researcher whose work investigates altered states of consciousness through psychophysiology, pharmacology, and computational neuroscience. He holds a BSc in Pharmacology from King’s College London and a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Melbourne, where he remains affiliated with the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health. As Founder and CEO of Somnivore, he develops machine-learning approaches for analyzing EEG, polysomnography, and other complex physiological data.
Dr. Allocca was in the first cohort of 11 participants to have received DMTx at Imperial College London, were he sustained five full doses. This pilot was the first systematic, pharmacokinetically informed DMTx protocol ever tested in humans. He has co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed scientific publications spanning psychedelic neuroscience, sleep and arousal, neurodegeneration, addiction, and comparative sleep physiology. His psychedelic research includes EEG, the phenomenological investigations of endogenous DMT release, 5-MeO-DMT and the development of the “bodyset” framework, and pivotal physiological states (PiPS), which examine how an individual’s physiological state and biomarkers shape psychedelic experience and outcomes. At Eleusis, he advises on research design, neurophysiological measurement, biomarkers, bodyset and health optimisation, and the rigorous scientific study of extended-state psychedelic experiences.
